We often think the arts are for children or a complete waste of time. I was partially under this spell until beginning sessions at Inna House. A grown man with no artistic skills, drawing doodles and writing scripts may seem comedic, but it took me back to my childhood in a way like never before. I haven’t completely healed in the last few sessions, but I’ve learned to take things a little less seriously and to be patient with myself and the world – that’s more than I can say for any other therapist I’ve worked with before.
Office Politics feels like a channel I can gradually tune out by tuning in becoming aware of my involvement and choosing where to share my valuable attention.
I never thought writing a story would liberate me, revealing a message meant for me.
I’ve been to more traditional CBT therapy and added a little DBT, and it has helped change my behavioural patterns. This approach exactly helped uncover all the discomfort I’ve been storing inside.
